Hey all,

as previously announced, the new mythic item Steel Miner will soon become obtainable in the game!

This update is going to revisit older bosses and take a look at how relevant boss fights are in general, as well as add more incentive for players to fight harder bosses.

A lot has happened since the first boss, Seething Rage, was added into the game. Players came up with ingenious ideas, from building arenas to fight bosses, all the way to building custom boss farms you can afk in. While these ideas are no doubt awesome and require a lot of hard work, the idea behind bosses is to provide an ever increasing challenge in order to get the latest and greatest in terms of gear and special items.

Therefore, in regards to bosses, the following changes will be made:
  • Seething Rage & Frosting Storm: Those two will now only drop their respective mythic item, and no additional special items. This is to still allow newer players to experience the first boss fights and get a decent reward, as well as to allow them to practice fighting against bosses, while removing the incentive for much more experienced players to farm them for cheap special items.
This is especially necessary since these are the only two bosses which can be auto-farmed.
  • Seething Rage: The explosion no longer leaves behind fire. This is so that newer players aren't discouraged from fighting bosses should their items get destroyed.
  • Corrupted Wisp: Now drops its mythic item, one epic or better, three rare or better and six uncommon or better special items. This is to balance out the loot among bosses, since Seething Rage & Frosting Storm no longer drop extra special items.
  • Warden of Earth: Now drops its mythic item, two epic or better, five rare or better and ten uncommon or better special items.
  • Eric (New...

It's finally time! As I've teased so many times over the last couple days, here it is: THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT

Well, what is it? It's right HERE: Dungeons 2.0!

Dungeons is getting its very own standalone game called "Dungeons & Heroes" (provisional name), which works very much like the Minecraft version: You create your own dungeon and attack other players' dungeons!

But instead of having this post be just a huge wall of text like every other news post, here are some images from the game as it looks right now:

A singleplayer-only demo version of Dungeons & Heroes is scheduled to be released in July 2018, so you can get a feel for the mechanics in this new game! A public beta version featuring a fully playable singleplayer campaign, as well as an online multiplayer mode is expected to launch near the end of 2018.

In addition to what you know from the Minecraft game mode, Dungeons & Heroes will feature the following things:

LOADS of Minions

The minions you see in the screenshots are only a fraction of the amount of minions that'll end up being in the actual game. They all have some super interesting and intriguing mechanics as well! Here are some examples:
  • Rat Grunt (Poisonous): When the enemy hero is hit, they take 20% increased damage for a short time.
  • Speedy Rat: When this minion is damaged below 50% health, increase its attack & movement speed.
  • Reaper: When this minion engages in combat, destroy up to two nearby minions with 5 or less health, and gain +5 health for each minion consumed.
  • Cyclops Wizard: Periodically summon two bats to attack the enemy hero.
  • Shadow Rat: When not attacking the enemy hero, this minion enters stealth and cannot be...
Following an incident in which a player was seemingly handed a no-strings-attached Minecraft alt-account and was then stripped of their supplies, a change has been made to the HCMCPVP ruleset, rendering the sharing of account information a bannable offense, with a 30 day minimum ban time.

The complete rule is as follows:
If you are contacted by anyone in-game, on the forums, or on our discord, offering you account information relating to Minecraft accounts, or any other accounts, do not accept and report that offense to staff immediately, either using the Support Ticket System, or by alerting us in-game or on discord.

This is a good time to refer you to the official HCMCPVP rules, so you don't accidentally commit a bannable offense without knowing it:

Stay safe!
Hey all,

today marks the day of the beginning of the HCMCPVP Easter Feast 2018!

For the entire remaining month of April, you will be able to participate in the event, collect small amounts of credits by playing on the server, and shoot for the big jackpot of up to 5,000 credits at the end of the month!

Collect Easter Eggs & Compete Against Others!

Until April 30th, you can collect Easter Eggs on both Mythic Survival and Dungeons, and depending on how many you have at the end of the month, you'll get a final prize of up to 5,000 credits.

Mythic Survival
On Mythic Survival, you can find Easter Eggs in chests or as boss loot, just like any other special item. They're classified as rare items, so you should see them quite often, depending on your loot boost.

In Dungeons, every monster you kill in a regular dungeon attack has a chance to reward you with an easter egg. You don't need to pick it up or anything, it'll automatically get delivered to you.

The Final Prize
The total number of Easter Eggs everyone has collected is kept secret until the end of April, at which point the top 10 players' final score will be shared publicly. Those players will also receive a reward of up to 5,000 credits, with 12,000 credits being given away in total. You can use them for anything you want, even premium!

Now go get on HCMCPVP and start collecting eggs!
These changes are now live.

Hey all,

it's not the full professions update yet, but spellbooks have already been revamped!

Here's the full details of the changes in this update:

Special Item Changes
  • Easter Egg: New rare item. Available only during the Easter Feast (all of April) of each year. Right Click: Add 10 credits to your account and increase your event score by 1. This item cannot be used outside of the Easter Feast.
  • Spellstone: Removed. Clicking an existing Spellstone will transform it into Depleted Spellstone, which is purely a novelty item. Players with existing Spellstones will not receive a replacement for any Spellbooks they used on it.
  • All Spellbooks: Changed so that they are now usable by themselves. Spellbooks have 5 charges, after which they are depleted and are destroyed. Right-Clicking with an old Spellbook in hand *should* transform it into its newer counterpart.
  • Tome of Arcane Knowledge: New legendary item. Right Click: Increase your Arcanology skill by 1, up to a maximum of 10. This greatly empowers spellbook power, duration & damage.
  • Totem of Safekeeping: New legendary item. If this is in your inventory when you die, you get to keep its contents and this gets destroyed.*
  • Overcharged Ender Pearl: Removed. Existing copies will transform into Totem of Safekeeping when clicked in the inventory.
*note that if you happen to have multiple totems in your inventory upon dying, all of them will be destroyed. Totems do not activate if they are inside shulker boxes.

As always, any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Hey all,

I realize I'm a bit late to the party with this as I was sick over last weekend. But that doesn't mean we can't celebrate at all!

Starting this Friday (April 6th), you will be able to participate in HCMCPVP's Easter Feast event, and win up to 5,000 credits! The total prize pool is going to be 12,000 credits for everyone who participates, more details on that below!

From April 6th all the way through April 30th, you will be able to collect Easter Eggs on both Survival and Dungeons, which will count towards your event score. After April 30th, the top 10 players with the highest event scores will be rewarded as follows:
  • Top 1: 5,000 credits
  • Top 2: 2,500 credits
  • Top 3: 1,000 credits
  • Top 4-10: 500 credits
How to get these eggs?

On Mythic Survival, the following new item will be added temporarily:
  • Easter Egg: New rare item. Right Click: Add 10 credits to your account. Increase your event score by 1. Visit for more info.
On Dungeons, killing any monster in /attack mode has a chance to award you with an easter egg, which will automatically add 10 credits to your account and increase your event score by 1.

Note that the chances of obtaining an easter egg in both modes is very similar, so it doesn't matter which one you prefer playing.

Once the event is live, the leaderboards will display a separate ranking for event scores, so look out for that!

See you on the servers!
Hey all,

I'm sorry to say I have to postpone the Mythic Survival update a little bit. It's largely finished, but completely untested as of right now, because I've been 'given' a few more tasks at uni I have to take care of.

It should be up and running by April 20th, but will likely be done earlier than that.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Hey all,

today there have been some minor changes to the Dungeons game mode. Here is the list:
  • Gold cap has been increased to 20,000 starting and 1,000 per extra level.
  • The above change causes daily free gold to increase proportionally as well, so you should expect more free gold!
  • New players now start with 10,000 gold.
  • Fixed a bug that caused /shop battle to be inaccessible for some players.
See you on the servers!
Hey all,

this is just to let you know that I'm aware of the issue of player skins not being displayed correctly on the leaderboards and player profiles.

The cause of the issue is that Mojang have changed the way Minecraft skins are stored. Good thing they let everyone know beforehand in a news post, NOT.

Not only did they not announce it, they also did not provide any information as to how we are now supposed to obtain new skin data.

As everything relating to Minecraft on this website is handmade by me, I'm going to have to investigate this myself. I think I already found the new way they are storing their skins, but rewriting the modules that are responsible for displaying skins on this site is going to be a bit of a pain in my ass to say the least.

It's not a priority right now for me anyway, as I'm currently focusing on the new Mythic Survival update. I'll let you know once it's fixed.
